We beat the May 1 deadline China imposed for those aged 50+ who wish to adopt from China. Our official log-in date (LID) at the China Center of Adoption Affairs (CCAA) is April 20, 2007. Current referrals are taking 18-20 months. We'll see how it goes. We're so relieved, and thankful, to have this chance for a second daughter.
The staff at our adoption agency, Chinese Children Adoption International (CCAI) located in Centennial, CO are the best. They were responsive, supportive, and on-the-ball with all the information we needed. We used them for our first adoption and highly recommend them.

Shop Hop 2007
Had a blast at this year's Shop Hop. The first day it began, Deb picked up Cassie and me after I got home from work and hit the three Lincoln shops. We buzzed down first to Calico House where I found some garden fabric that Deb loved. I got some Nebraska Cornhuskers fabric to make a pillowcase for my brother's December birthday (so I have a little time to get it made!).Then we dashed back to the north side of town to The Back Porch for a few minutes. Then hurried over to The Cosmic Cow. Richard was kind enough to take our photo. Roxann helped me search for a third fabric to coordinate with my snowman and mauve fabrics.
